Walking the Journey of Healing

Hi friends,

Healing is often a journey, not a single moment. Whether you're walking through your own healing or accompanying others as they heal, each step draws us closer to the hope Christ offers.

This month, we're featuring our Forgiveness resources—now available in Spanish—and our Reconnect booklet to help you continue that journey, whether for yourself, your family, your church, or your healing groups.

Healing often begins with naming our wounds and bringing them honestly before God. Jesus not only forgives our sins—He also invites us to bring Him the pain we've been carrying so He can begin to heal our hearts.

The short video below was shared with us by a trauma healing group of Syrian refugee women. During the Bring Your Pain to God session, they wrote down their pain, tied it to balloons, and released them as a symbol of entrusting their wounds to God. Please pray for these women as they continue their healing journeys and for the Lord to bring healing to their families and communities.

Releasing our pain to God

Forgiveness

As we release our pain to God, He gently leads us toward another important step in healing: forgiveness. While forgiveness can be one of the most difficult parts of the journey, it also opens the door for God to bring freedom and restoration where hurt has taken root.

We're excited to share that our Forgiveness booklet is now available to download in Spanish!

For Trauma Healing Facilitators, this booklet complements the Forgiveness lesson in the Healing the Wounds of Trauma and Anchored in Hope programs. It can also be used independently by churches, ministries, families, or anyone beginning to explore what biblical forgiveness looks like.

Reconnect - for youth

Healing doesn't stop after we release our pain or begin the journey of forgiveness. God also restores the ways we relate to ourselves, to others, and to Him.

As students head back to school, many are navigating new routines, stress, and uncertainty. Reconnect was created to help young people develop healthy ways to process emotions, build resilience, and strengthen meaningful relationships through five practical practices.

Parents and caregivers will also find a companion Bible reading plan to encourage them as they walk alongside the teens in their lives.

Whether you're a parent, educator, youth leader, pastor, or Trauma Healing Facilitator looking for a practical resource to share, these free tools can help young people grow emotionally, spiritually, and relationally during this season of transition.
