Celebrating Communities of Practice

A reflection on 2024 would not be complete without celebrating the Trauma Healing Communities of Practice Gatherings around the globe. Thank you to the Bible Societies who hosted as we prayed together, connected in deeper and strategic ways, and thanked God for the new doors He is opening for trauma healing ministry.

Hurricane Relief Grant Update

Thank you to our generous donors, who help make our disaster relief efforts possible. When hurricanes Helene and Milton hit the southeastern U.S. in September, we were able to provide over 15,000 free Beyond Disaster printed and digital tools and Restoring Hope Bibles to pastors and ministry leaders who helped people cope during the unthinkable devastation.

And special thanks to our partners at Water Mission who sprang into action in many of the hardest-hit areas. Along with desperately needed clean water infrastructure, their disaster response team was key in distributing our materials. They also trained dozens of community leaders on how to lead small groups with survivors using the Beyond Disaster resources.

Prayer Requests

Please take a few moments to lift up these requests from your brothers and sisters in the THI Global Community of Practice:

• My greatest desire is to build a trauma healing rehab centre in Solomon Islands for broken teens and adults. Pray that God can lead and open ways.

• Pray for the start of healing groups at Nkhotakota and Dedza prisons in Malawi.

• The current political, economical, and religious situations are causing trauma for many people. Please pray that all healing group facilitators will be proactive in conducting healing groups.

• I'm in a mess at the moment. My job as a chaplain and teacher isn't yielding much at the moment and my family is being impacted badly financially. Schools have resumed and I have to pay the fees of my two girls (5 and 2 years)....My debt keeps rising. Please pray for me that God may intervene miraculously and that I will bounce back and meaningfully impact my community. I am a wounded healer!
